The Keith Moon story is true. I was the pool boy at
the Holiday Inn when it occured.

I was also working at the Edgewater when Carmine,
Robert and Jimmy used the fish on the groupie. It was a
Carp.

Stevie did have a friend blow coke up her ass. I was
working backstage in concessions at the time and I
provided the straw.

However, Paul McArtney and Bob Dylan are alive and are
the originals. Elvis, Curt Cobain, Jim Morrison, Jimi,
Mama Cass, Brian Jones and Keith Richards are all
dead.

The CIA was engaged in a massive and well-documented
mind-control program called MKULTRA. Mark David
Chapman was very likely among their many subjects. To

FZappa recalled the fish incident in the album
Fillmore East, June 1971. (Much of this album is given
to an oral, so to speak, history of good old
rock?n’roll decadence by Professors Flo & Eddie. It?s
the story of an Unnamed Rock Band, the Edgewater Inn,
the young ladies they find there and an unsuspecting
saltwater creature ? that?s right, you heard right,
the secret word was ?Mud Shark?.)

Lono | 4/3/2007, 12:41 am EST

To Bill Brasky!

About half of these are true, and I would encourage
all to visit the great snopes.com for details.

Oh, this one wasn?t there? and I regard it as one of
the greats.

James Taylor?s Fire & Rain was written about Taylor?s
girlfriend (Susanne) being flown from the East Coast
to visit him in LA. Problem is, the plane crashed and
she died.

* while that would be a near literal interpretation,
it isn?t true at all. Taylor said that song was
written over the course of years, and is three mini
stories. ?flying machines in pieces on the ground? is
a refernce to a band Taylor was in with this brother.

Oh, and I heard when I was a kid that Ozzy used to:

1. pass around a bucket for people to piss in and he
would drink it before the show

2. passed out puppies to the crowd and would not start
the show until the audience killed them and passed
them back up front.

also total BS. Ozzy is probably a better Christian
that I am

I can say the Frank Zappa, Alice Cooper thing in
untrue according to Zappa and Cooper. The Led Zeppelin
fish thing was a rumor started by a roadie. There is a
Zappa song about this on Mothers Live at the Fillmore,
he says he heard the rumor from the Vanilla Fudge. If
McCartney did die they did a great job of replacing
him. He not only looks like Paul, but he sounds like
him and is a hell of a song writer. No one cares if
Elvis, Morrison or Cobain are alive. I have seen
pictures of M. Jackson when he was black. According R
Van Zants widow he is buried in a suit. Dylan is not
the devil but I think the new pope may be the
anti-christ. One last thing w0nderwall put the pipe

yesterday. let me tell you the paul is dead and we
replaced him story from the 60s was right; looked
fine, and was driving one of thos SUVs and later on I
explained to a native local why the PLO flag was
flying in the area. She replied, Oh it?s like high
school then? Incidentally, the UK band which did the
song about this boat is sinking? Taken from that mss I
did in 1980, where I?m washing spotlessly clean
glasses in the basement of the London hare krishna
temple? At the sink there? The guy is a doctor here
and used my birthdate toopen a small clinic. A liberal
MP named Armitage officially opened it on my birthday.
That?s why US also had an Armitage. But lyrics were
plagiarised and then they made hare krishna illegal
here just like in Ukraine and USSR.

The Viking Lounge Is a Rocking Place!2 Karaoke Singers To Go!

Eric’s Karaoke Rotation Protical…………..

Loyal fans of Karaoke…..

I just wanted to pass along this article they are
printing in the Statewide Newspaper “Karaoke and Live
Entertainment Guide: Northwest edition”, for the month
of November. It is all about how to run a fair Karaoke
rotation, and I basically put in our way of doing it,
as it has developed over the last 14 years of business
as the owner of Cosmickaraoke. com! This a well
produced and reputable paper that we are proud to
advertise in and be associated with. The “Karaoke
Corner” is a very informative monthly piece produced
by Rocky and Kristine Fields. We are very excited to
be included.

We are running some 100,000 plus songs at THE VIKING 7
days a week. It is located in Lacey Washington 6318
Martin Way on the corner of Carpenter and Martin Way.
We run from 8 to 1:30 bar time. Stop by and sing with
us. We take dancing breaks and great food! Try the sub
sandwiches! They are low-fat, healthy and delicious.
E.T. is your scheduled host Tuesday through Saturday.
We have several filler hosts on Sunday and Monday
including Janice, Tim, and Troy. So stop by will you!

On Saturday October 28th, 2006 we will be having our
annual Costume Party. There will be a $2 cover after
8pm. Come all dressed up, spooky like in a creative
costume, and you may win a cash prize. We are also
giving out lots of cool door prizes, all compliments
of the club owners, Keith and Staci Milligan. Also
thanks to our loyal regular “Mary”, for helping
organize this event. Do not miss out! This will be one
HELL of a night. (Pun intended). We will also be
playing your favorite dance music and some special
Halloween tunes recently acquired for the occasion as
dance music. See you there!

Enjoy the article!

Hey everyone! Once again the fall is upon us and the holidays are fast approaching. Are ya ready?? We know we’re not, but hey, what’s new? We’re sure we’re not the only ones who are so busy that everything gets done at the last minute….are we? Let us know your funny holiday stories, past or present and maybe we’ll put some to print in next months karaoke corner for laughs! Send funny stories and photographs to: rocknkris@yahoo.com.

We got some great feedback on last months corner regarding what makes a good karaoke bar work and what may not and we wanted to share one man’s opinion with all of you faithful readers. We believe there are several ways to run a fair rotation at a show, so don’t take it to heart if this way isn’t “your way”. It’s just one way that may give you some ideas, as hosts and as patrons, of a fair way to make sure you keep your singers happy. Feel free to let us know if you have more great ideas too. Rocky uses a cork board and places his singers rotation on it so that if anyone has a question as to when they’re going to get up to sing, all they have to do is come take a look. We find it takes up less of the hosts time and also proves a fair rotation to anyone who cares to take a peek.

Here’s one of many correspondence we received that we felt was worth sharing. Please enjoy and keep those letters coming!

Rocky and Kristine

Great paper this month. Quality articles all the way around, particularly the “Karaoke Corner” article. I agree whole heartedly with your insights. Well done. I have been at this 14 years now making a living so I feel like my opinion has some merit. I need to
share your article with the owners of the establishment because we can all grow and learn from experiance and sharing our ideas. I am at “The Viking” in Lacey, on Martin Way, 7 nights per week. Details at my site. You are welcome to drop by if time permits. I enjoy meeting fellow Karaoke Comrades. I have no competition in business, just friends and allies! So Thanks!

And, as a matter of fact I do have an idea for a story.
Everyone has their own method or way of running a rotation of singers at their Karaoke show. Which way would be the most fair and universally accepted?

Here is how I have learned to do it after 14 agonizing years of working as an all-pro Karaoke Host. This seems to work for me, and only the “Greedy Singers”
that want to sing MORE than their share will ever complain. I put ALL SINGERS at the bottom of the list as soon as they hand in their first slip. You go to the bottom of
the heat regardless, no new singers added in the middle or special favors, period! No bribes either. I have turned down a $100 tip in the past to break rotation and get an anxious singer up NOW! Nope, sorry. I will not do it. First of all, if your regulars stay all night then they should follow the same singer all night long. Tom is after Mary and John is follows Tom. ect. If you let in the “New singers” then the rotation will be broken and you will follow a different person. The costumers are savvy and know when they are supposed to go. They sitting with clenched fists just waiting to get up
there and belt one. It is murder to change up the line up on them. I use a dry erase board and post the rotation for all to see. I just point at it rather than talk to them
when they ask when their turn is coming up! It is written in stone and easy to follow. This is another reason why I do not put up “New singers” but rather stick them at the bottom regardless. First off they need to get a drink, pay the house, and find a song.
The regulars on the list have all ready been feeding the till. The new singers will not know the difference since they just arrived, and not heard any of the singers on your list, Savvy singers will come in and put their own name on the list before ordering a
drink. This secures their permanent spot and by the time they slug down a cocktail and perhaps munch on a sandwich, they are up in no time. Than they follow the same person on the next roll. I have two stacks of slips. I am formulating my next rotation at all times, even when I am in the middle of a roll. I just look at my board and put the slips iin the exact same order, and clip them with paper clip.

Karaoke Art…..

Some people say it is unfair not to put up a new singer when they arrive. I say, balderdash. They can wait it out. Always start at the bottom! Sometimes people will come in around 12:50am bartime and say “Let me sing as a new singer!” They have
obviously been singing elsewhere all night and think they can come into my show and steal away the last couple of songs from my loyal regulars that have been supporting
my work place all night. Sorry…… Not gonna happen. I will gladly put them on the list though. Maybe some people will leave or there will enough time before 1:30 to get them in. Just follow the list, with no exceptions, that is what I say. What do you think? I would really like to know. I do not intend to change the way I have done it for
14 years, but will always appreciate another perspective! Thanks….

Aerosmith Live @ The Tacoma Dome 02/16/06

Filed under: Concert Reviews — Eric Turnbow @ 9:08 pm
Aerosmith Tour Program….collection Of Aerosmith Images
Wow…..

I just got back from the Aerosmith concert at the
Tacoma dome, and it was amazing. This was my 5th time
Kind of like a good bottle of wine. I still remember
the “Rocks” tour in the King Dome back in 1976 when
Jeff Beck and Rick Derringer were on the bill. The
band has come a long way since then. They called this
tour “Rockin’ The Joint 2005/06″, and man they sure
did! I am tired, shnockered, and nursing a headache,
but I am feeling alive at the same time from the
awesome music. Man!

I went with a buddy, Todd Osbourne. We left from
Olympia early, around 4:45 and missed all the traffic.
We found a FREE parking spot about 2 blocks away from
the $20 pay spots since we were early. We had to walk
about 5 blocks one way, up to Pacific, to find a
cocktail, but my 2 long island ice teas made it worth
the trek. We snuck in the back door of the show with
my friends handicap sticker. No waiting. We did not
like our nose bleed seats, and moved just behind the
mixer to the best seats in the house without getting
asked to leave! I was able to grab my traditional
key chain and collectible band pins beforehand and beat
the rush.

Lenny Kravitz played first. He had his usual sexy
female drummer and the band rocked with plenty of
hits. Their amps were twice the size of Aerosmith, but
did not come close to matching the sound. Lenny
played about 1 hour and fifteen minutes, Some of the
highlights were “American Woman”, “Are you going to go
my way”, “Fly away”, and “Let love rules”. He was
pretty good. Better than I expected actually. His
stage props were layed back compared to the headliner.
He did not blow away, or steal any thunder from our
boys from Boston, but seemed extremely convincing.

Aerosmith took the stage at 10pm. They rocked solid
for about an hour and 45 minutes. Steven Tyler had his
trademark scarfs wrapped around his mike stand, with
some gems and glitter on the bottom of the bace. They
opened with a Beatles song “Helter Skelter”. There was
only 5 days left on this leg of the tour, so they
rocked hard and had rehearsed well. The light show was
wicked, They played most the songs you expect. “Walk
this way” was like second, and “Sweet Emotion”, “Dream
On”, “Back in the saddle”, “Toys in the attic”,
“Train Kept a Rollin”, “Baby Please don’t go”, “no
more no more” which they mentioned was recorded in
1975 for the “Toys in the attic” album, which came out
31 years ago when I was in the 8th grade. I find that
mind boggling in itself. There was lot of 80s stuff
from “permanent vacation”, “Get a Grip” and “pumped”
cd’s. They had the screen behind them, very high tech,
and a ramp that went all the way out in the audience.
They were electric and all over the place. They
wandered out the ramp whenever they felt like and were
absolutely mind blowing. There was funny spot in the
show where Steven Tyler changed the words on “Janies’
got a gun” to “CHENNY’s GOT A GUN!”. That was humerous
and news timely, and of course dedicated to our poor
excuse for a vice president. Late night though.
Traffic sucked, and I did not get home until about 1
am. It was worth it though, because I was due for a
decent rocking. They really came through for me too! I
would recommend this live act with two thumbs up.
Rock and roll medicine for sure.
Live Aerosmith Rocks Bog!

“Sicko” Gets the Oscar High-Five …a note from Michael Moore

January 25, 2008

Friends,

I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know (if you didn’t already) the good news that “Sicko” has been nominated for this year’s Academy Award for Best Documentary. It was a pleasant surprise when we got the news on Tuesday.

Of course, every reporter who’s called me in the past few days wanted to know if I plan on giving an “anti-war” or “anti-Bush” speech, should “Sicko” win, as I did when we won the Oscar for “Bowling for Columbine” in 2003. (As you may recall, it was the 5th day of the war when those Oscars were held, and I said from the stage that, while I enjoy making nonfiction films, we live in fictitious times with a man of fiction in the White House. A ruckus ensued with a loud roar of cheers and boos, then someone cued the band to get me off the stage. As host Steve Martin said a few moments later, Teamsters were out back loading me into the trunk of a car.)

Well it’s five years later and we are still at war. But there’s no booing these days. 65% of the public is now opposed to the war and to Mr. Bush. The Academy, instead of cutting off the microphone, now nominates anti-war films for Best Documentary. That’s right, three of the five nominees this year are Iraq War films!

I am very honored to be in this group of documentaries, three of which I brought last summer to our film festival in northern Michigan. “Taxi to the Dark Side” is a brutal examination of U.S. torture in Iraq and Afghanistan. “Operation Homecoming” has actors reading letters from soldiers in Iraq. “No End in Sight” has ex-Bush administration officials admitting how they messed up the occupation, lamenting how things would have been so much better if only Bush had put people in Baghdad who knew what they were doing (and wouldn’t we all have loved to see THAT? Hahaha). And “War/Dance” tells the moving story of kids in a dance competition in war-torn Africa. A diverse group of films, and proof that nonfiction movies are stronger than ever.

A lot of people ask me, ‘how does this whole Oscar voting thing work?’ Well, actors nominate actors, directors nominate directors — every branch essentially votes to nominate their own (including documentary filmmakers in my branch) — and then all 6,000 Academy members vote for the Best Picture nominees. After the nominations are announced, then all 6,000 vote for all the categories.

Documentaries, though, have one special rule: The voters have to verify they have seen all five nominated films. As some of these films, unfortunately, don’t have the distribution they deserve, special Academy members-only screenings of all five nominees are set up for this very purpose in the next few days in New York, and in the next couple of weeks in L.A. and elsewhere, and that’s when any Academy member can vote for Best Documentary.

But will there be an Oscar show this year? As you know, the Writers Guild (of which I am a member) is on strike and the Oscars are a union show. If the strike isn’t settled, they won’t be able to put on the typical telecast as no actor, writer or anyone I know will cross the picket line. This is all happening because a couple of hotheads at the studios (some would say union-busting knuckleheads) have walked away from the negotiating table in what seems like an attempt to simply get rid of the union. What do they think we are, air traffic controllers?

The writers are only asking for about 2.5 cents out of every dollar made on Internet sales (that’s right, not even 3 pennies!), a small pittance compared to what the studios or networks rake in. That’s it. The union has dropped the demand to unionize the reality shows (in 1993, I created the first unionized reality show, “TV Nation,” but the Writers Guild unfortunately wasn’t able to build on this).

I would like to believe that the honchos will come to their senses and settle this strike. Otherwise, I won’t be able to talk to Joan Rivers on the red carpet or attend all those Oscar parties afterward! Don’t make me suffer like this! My wardrobe and stylist people are already in tears.

In the meantime, I’ll send you some pre-Super Tuesday thoughts next week. Thanks again for all your nice comments on the Oscar nod and I hope this extra attention on “Sicko” will help to push for the day when every American can go to the doctor or the hospital and never be asked “what’s in your wallet?”

Yours,

Michael Moore

The Beatles…. Best Of All Time!Rolling Stone’s Rock Icons…The Beatles…. Best Of All Time!Fat Icons Of Rock

Wow, This is great idea. As an all pro DJ it is all
about having the right cut for the right occasion such
as a wedding or toga party. This will be a very
useful tool for me. Thank you, and what a great idea.
I rather enjoyed Marilyn and Marc Lund’s lists, and
have a lot of music in common with them. That is also
a lot of hard work and time consumption. Job well done!
I like so much stuff that a top 100 list would be a
tough duty. I would have to pick almost all of the
Beatles albums for one thing! So I am going to do this
my own way. I prefer to mention Bands and not albums,
but touch on my favorite work within the artist
catalog. Thanks again for this idea and opportunity. I
love music! It makes my world go ’round. I also enjoy
being online. Quite the hobby for me I must say.

E.T.’s Music Appreciation list:
Top 25 for now……. (March 22nd, 2006)

01. The Beatles:
I think my favorite song has to be “A Day in he
Life”, followed by “Across The Universe”. I love the
“golden Slumbers medley” from Abby Road, “Julia”, and
“The Long and Winding Road”. and if I had to pick a
favorite album I may surprise you when I choose
“Magical Mystery Tour”. I love that one, but I love
ALL of them baby! I am into the art and poetic lyrics.
I love to know what inspired the song, such as
“Martha” was Paul’s sheep-dog, and the back ups on
“Girl” were all about the female anatomy “tit tit tit
tit tit”. Paul has confirmed this on the Anthology
dvd’s. I know a lot more but this is just item number
one!

02. Paul McCartney:
I have to say his solo work is some of my all time
favorite stuff. I own EVERY cd, even the classical
stuff. I really dig the early Wings stuff like
“McCartney”, “Ram”, and “Red rose Speedway”. An
overlooked gem, for me anyway is 1997’s “Flaming Pie”.
I dig that album. I really miss Linda a whole lot. A
great track that comes to mind for me is “Venus and
Mars are all right tonight”. My least favorite Paul
song is “Silly Love Songs”. He did not need to go
there. But Paul is definetly my favorite Beatle. 51%
Paul to 49% John. Just my opinion,

03. Bob Dylan:
His songwriting is almost un-matched. His body of work
is terrifying, and still growing. I like it all. My
favorite album thugh is still “Blood on The Tracks”,
followed by “Desire” and then maybe “Highway 61″. I am
in awe of his talent for creating words and music.
Some of my all time favorites are “Forever Young”, one
of my theme songs, and “I’ll be your baby tonight”,
“Just like a Woman”, “Ride Me High”, and “Tonight I’ll
be staying here with you”. Bob is just so great. I
wish he still had his melody together when he plays
live though. The records sound alot better. I love it
all.

04. Neil Young:
I have to go with “Harvest Moon”, “Comes a Time” and
“Unplugged” as 3 of my favorites. It’s all good.
Innovative and great. I like the country acoustic
sounding Neil way more than grunge Crazy Horse Neil.
Speaks to me a lot more. My favorite tour was Neil Solo
all the way talking to the audience and playing his
classic Martin and Gibson guitars. That is Neil in his
best form, for me anyway.

05. Eric Clapton:
I learned all his guitar licks when I was in
high school. I dig the blues, and a really special
record for me was “E.C. Was Here”. The one with the
female boobs on it. I copied all those licks and
learned the guitar that way. “We’re all the Way” is a
sentimental song, and his unplugged album if just
great. Won 6 Grammy’s in fact. The record “Slow Hand” is
also a favorite of mine.

06. Pink Floyd
Wow they are way at the top, in the top five. I just
overlooked them! “Dark Side of The Moon” is a
masterpiece. Their spacey experimental music is just
my cup of tea. It was nice to see them reunite for
“Live 8″ last summer,. Sentimental and touching.
Concept albums and great music. “Brain Damage” is a
song that comes to mind. Wow. That cd “Echoes’, with
the greatest hits all run together is one of my
favorites. Great group.

07. Led Zepplen
Also in my top five. My favorite cd is “Houses of the
Holy” and I like “Physical Graphiti alot as well. The
acoustic stuff like “Thats the Way”, and “Going To
California” are standouts. That was one hell of a
band! Thsy still hold up today. Long live Led!

08. Tom Petty:
Petty all night. What a great writer and Rock Icon. I
like everything he did. “Echoes” was one of his best
for me. The song “Room at The Top of The World” is a
really great tune. I love his attitude. Of course
“Full Moon Fever” has to be nmentioned. Incredible
work.

09. Elvis Presley
Especially the later Vegas Elvis with James Burton on
Guitar. What a band! Awe inspiring. I like the album
“Moody Blue” a lot, and the “Aloha From Hawaii” ranks
up there in live performances for me. I like the Mac
Davis penned “Don’t Cry Daddy”. and his version of
“Pledging my Love”. Elvis was way cool. His bass
player Jerry Sheff was a monster, and Ronnie Tut the
drummers drummer. Quite a catalog.

10. Moody Blues
I am a huge fan! I must single out “Days of Future
Past” and “In Search of The Lost Chord”. I have
sentimental memories attached to these albums. One
stand out track for me is ” I never Thought I’d live
To Be a hundred”, and another is “Are you sitting
Comfortably”. Great band.

11. Fleetwood Mac:
Stand out albums “Rumors”, and the first album with
the females together. “Landslide” is one of my favorite
songs ever. I love Stevie Nicks. She is my favorite
female rocker. This chemistry in this group works
well.

12. Rolling Stones.
Bone turned me onto “Beggars Banquet”, and some of
that old stuff really rocks. Especially the acoustic
guitars. “Stick Fingers” is a must for any collection.
A stand out song for me is “Salt of the Earth”. They
nailed it with Paul Shaffer Band on the New York 911
Tribute. “No expectations” is a stand out cut for me
as well.

13. The Eagles
I love the harmony in this group. “7 Bridges Road” is
a great song to learn harmony on. They are classics. I
love the “Desperado” cd. It is like a concept album.
Another standout for me is “The Last Resort” from Hotel
California. There is a lot of great tracks. Too many to
list.

14. The Allman Brothers Blues Band
That Duane Allman and his slide guitar! I am hooked.
The live album “Live at The Filmore” still ranks as
one of my top ten cd’s of all time. “Dreams I’ll Never
See”, and “One Way Out”, Fabulous. That Southern music
has a rocking kick and influenced my bass and guitar
playing tremendously.

15. Merle Haggard
I know he is old and country, but man, Merle is my
favorite good old boy. Just great. “Thats the Way Love
Goes’, is a stand out track for me, as well as “Heaven
is a drink of wine” and “Silver Wings”. He has lived
his music and as far as country goes, he is the best
for me.

16. Lynyrd Skynrd
Man I love the classic band before the plane crash.
“Simple Man”, is one of my theme songs, and you can’t
go wrong with “Free Bird” as a rock anthem. I grew up
with that group, and still listen to the street
survivors to this day. They just made the hall of fame
last week! About time!

17. Aerosmith
Americas Rolling Stones, but way hotter, live at
least. They rock. My favorite record of theirs is
“Pumped” with stand out tracks like “Other side” and
“What it Takes”. Classic stuff is good and holding up
well like “Seasons of Wither”. They are reral comrades
of rock.

18. Simon and Garfunkle
Wow. The songs are right on. “The Only Living Boy In
New York” is a great track. I love that “Sounds of
Silence” album. The chemistry and songwriting was
really spot on. No doubt. Terrific! “Kathy’s Song”
another great one. All their music was fantastic come
to think of it.

19. The Who
“Tommy” is still one the best concept albums to date.
I love it. Great rocking band. Great songs. “Behind
Blue Eyes” is a stand out song. “Guadrophenia” another
great piece of work. Sad to say 2 are dead now. Their
music will live on for eons.

20. Grateful Dead
“American Beauty” is my favorite record of theirs. I
love “Ripple” and all the stuff that Robert Hunter
wrote. Great jam band, and great music catalog.

21. Kansas
I have always been a huge fan. I guess “Left Overture”
and “Point of no Return” are stand outs for me. They
are unusual and just great. “Magnum Opus” was a song I
always liked.

22. Nora Jones
I gotta get a girly here. “Come Away With Me” is a
fine record. I just love it. Ravi Shankar is her dad
so she has a Beatle connection as well. “Don’t Know
way” is a stand out cut for me.

23. Billy Joel
Love the Piano Man. He has such a great volume of work
that stands out. One of my favorite records of his is
“Innocent Man’. The lyrics on “We didn’t Start the
fire” are clever and really good. Great songs.

24. Elton John
“No Sacrifice” is one of my favorite songs. “Your
Song” is another standout. His partnering with Bernie
Taupen came close to Lennon and McCartney and their
work is just great. “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” is a
classic and who does not like “Crocodile Rock”. Sir
Elton. Go dude.

25. Shawn Mullens
A lot of people do not know him well, but he speaks to
me. His album “Souls Core” is one of the best. Nice
acoustic and mellow songs. His deep voice singing
straight from the heart. “Gulf of Mexico” is a real
standout song for me. Check that album out.

This is just the tip of the ice berg, Top 25 for now.
There is much much more. I assure you. Look at (CCR,
John Mellencamp, The Doors, Hendrix, Stevie Ray
Vaughn, Gordon Lightfoot, Crosby Stills and Nash, Joan
Baez, Leonard Cohen, Bad Bompany,) and so many more to
come! Wow. This is fun. Thanks for indulging me.

Here is my answers…..

Sis!

I love this kind of stuff. I am a huge actors studio
fan as well. I have aver 10 vhs tapes of it. Maybe
half of all the shows. (Around 75 episodes or so).
Great idea and thanks!

Eric Turnbow Answers to the quiz…..

1) What is your favorite word? (Cheena Reena, which
is a nick name I use for my cat “Cappuccino”

2) What is your least favorite word? CAN’T

3) What turns you on? A hot shower with all the
hygiene supplies

4) What turns you off? The Iraq war, of just WAR
in general. Mindless loss of precious life, for no
positive gain!

5) What sound do you love? Great music playing on a
loud hi-fi. Maybe some Beatles, Neil Young, or Bob
Dylan.

6) What sound do you hate? Hard finger nails
grinding against the chalkboard.

7) What is your favorite curse word?
“Shit-son-of-a-bitch-fuck-hell” quickly as one word.

 8) What profession other than your own would you love
to try?
I could have been a great journalist .
Anything where I can document the event. It comes
natural to me for some reason. I could see myself as a
Broadway Musical entertainer as well.

9 What profession other than your own would you hate
to try? Mortician

10) If there is indeed a god and you end up at the
pearly gates, what would you want him/her to say to
you? “Eric I can grant you several wishes before you
set up shop here”. Then I would like to ask where I
can hang out with John Lennon, Elvis Presley, George
Harrison, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Mozart, and others! You
get the picture! …….
“On my spare time can I go back to Earth and stand in
one place and watch it all change as you go back in
time, one year at time clear back to the dinosaur
ages. That would be very cool. To see the land as it
develops along the way to what eventually would be
your back yard. I could stay out of trouble just doing
these cool kinds of things.

Here is my sister Katherine Turnbow’s answers…….

yes i REMEMBER THAT ONE! The Harrison Ford one. A
female actress, I forget which one said she would ask
HER whats up, thank you. That was cute. I have about
15 tapes of the show for you to borrow sometime. OI
like the robin Williams one, and the Tom Cruise,
Steven Spielberg, and John Travolta. They all are good
though, but only if I like the person. The cast of
the Simpsons was wonderful. Did you see that one?

Public Dream Journal: Entry #01 “My Encounter With John Lennon”

Filed under: John Lennon's Inspirations — Eric Turnbow @ 7:12 pm
Clasic Lennon In The Sixties….Lennon Art….Lennon and The classic White Piano…..
So ….ONE quick dream. I wanted to post this anyway.

This dream took place, well lets say late
January 19th, 2006 to be specific according to my
notes. It was really cool. All black and white for
starters. John Lennon, one of my personal big heroes
that I look up to and desperately admire, was alive and
performing a live solo concert at a small venue like a
local park or lake fair kind of thing. Very intimate
and personal. John was very much alive still, and He
was performing on the famous white piano he played
“Imagine” on in the movie of the same name. You know
the one. Famous and white. I have the poster sitting
right here above me computer now as I type this.

Now get this. I was hanging out at the show with Mick
Jagger! He was wearing a white tuxedo, or suit,
similar to the one he wore on Saturday night live
appearance from the 70’s, which I had actually
watched on dvd the night I before this dream
happened. We were strutting around the park with me,
E.T., and only about 200 people were there, or even
less. Then, to my joy and utter amazement Paul
McCartney, and George Harrison, and Ring Starr all
approached us. They were polite and said John was
really sounding good. I was especially pleased to be
hanging with George again since in reality he had
tragically passed on a few years back from cancer. And
the other miracle, John being alive after 26 years
have passed since his senseless encounter with a
psycho had ended his life. Sigh! One big happy family,
and no sign of Yoko! I was in heaven just speaking and
being close to Paul. What a thrill. They actually told
mw that they had an upcoming tour within the next
couple of months, and they recorded a new album even!
John was just touring small venues for fun to keep his
chops up!

So we all went to the after hours party together and
the whole bit. One dream fantasy, all in black and
white, that was as true as it was not blue. I am was
really there! I know that is as close as I will ever
to get to my heroes living or otherwise, and I am happy
to savor that moment for one dream cycle in ecstacy.
Mick was o kay to hang with. He checked his ego at the
door that day! John was robust, talkative and never
sounded better. He told me that he wanted Mick to take
his place on the upcoming Beatle tour, that he was
just tired. I protested and insisted he go! “It would
the NEVER be the same without you Johhny boy,” I
said, so he agreed to go on tour! Paul was simply
humble Paul, and Just as I would expect him to be.
SIGH! But I had to wake up and start the dawn of a new
day. (Okay, you got me, it was more like dawn of a new
afternoon!) Either way…… This was a vivid and
classic, killer dream. For me, it was one for the
ages. Fabulous, just like our Fab Four indeed. I am
happy I put it into the history books so it will not
be forgotten. It is a tribute and dedication to that
fabulous band we know as “THE BEATLES”. Plus!
